I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. I’ve been away from the blog for a while…but I have a pretty good excuse (I think!) The “new beginning” I had in mind when I came up with this title is in honor of the newest member of our family who is due to arrive in June 2013. The reason I’m using this as an excuse for my lack of blogging is because I’ve been darn sick! All of my pregnancies have started rough (especially the twins which was twice as bad- go figure). What’s been unique to this one is that my nausea hits its peak in the evening and I’m pretty much done for by 6pm. I do most all of my computer stuff at night, which is why I haven’t been here. I’ve been in bed (eating saltine crackers).
I hope to be turning the corner soon. I do think it’s letting up and am hopeful that it’ll all be a distant memory very soon. The nausea, of course. Not the pregnancy! For that we are feeling truly blessed. So far all is very well, and we’ve seen some beautiful pictures of a very healthy baby. We’ll be seeing more in late January at my next ultrasound.
So, for now I wish you all a very happy start to the new year, and I hope to be back again soon. There are lots of things on my mind and in my heart and I know I’ll want to share much of it here.
Oh- the pictures above are honestly the only ones I’ve taken over the last month and a half! The first ones are of a 3-D puzzle of St. Peters Basilica which my kids happily and quickly put together. 3-D puzzles are a new hit around here, and I will be ordering more. I got them from the Catholic Company, in case you’re interested!
Another new interest around here lately is chess. The boys are enjoying learning the game. The girls love to watch.
